Members of the Washington Symphonic Brass would like to thank their supporters and wish them all a very happy New Year!

Hornist, Amy Horn wrestled the website away from WSB trumpeter, arranger, and manager Phil Snedecor and has been dubbed the new webmaster! Any concerns,complaints, news, trivia, or accolades can be sent to her via the web address at the bottom of each web page.

This summer, Paul Schultz performed with the Kennedy Center Opera House orchestra, on Bass Trombone and Tuba in the musical Mary Poppins.
Coming next month, he will be performing the Sonata for Trombone and Piano on September 22, 2010 at 6:30PM. The performance will take place at Howard University, Childers Hall Room #3001. In addition, Paul will give a short lecture on Hindemith and some of the theory/compositional techniques he developed.

In July, trumpeter Chris Gekker subbed for Phil Smith, 1st trumpet of the New York Philharmonic, in both orchestral performances and recital concerts by the Philharmonic brass section. In August, Naxos released Nantucket Dreaming music by Carson Cooman and Chris performed on two tracks, Nobadeer Dreaming for solo flugelhorn, and Lyric Trio for trumpet/cello/piano, both recorded in Boston in the spring of 2009.

WSB trumpeter, arranger, and manager Phil Snedecor conducted the Respighi Ancient Airs & Dances at the Breckenridge Music Festival in Colorado with their brass section and then spent the rest of the time bike riding and 'stuff'.
