Come join the Washington Symphonic Brass, conducted by Washington National Opera's Michael Rossi, for a showcase of opera's most exciting moments! The majestic sounds of brass have always been a feature in classic operas from composers such as Puccini, Verdi, Strauss, Bizet and Wagner. Come relive these dramatic moments in a program that explores a new sonic spectrum. Even if you've never experienced these operas, you'll be thrilled by this concert of much-loved opera themes that have been made famous by American pop culture. Rossini's Barber of Seville, Verdi's Anvil Chorus, and Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries have all been used in Bugs Bunny cartoons and beyond. No matter what your reference point might be for these tunes, audiences of all ages will have a great time at this special concert.
